COVID Safety Protocols

Given the intimate nature of our performance hall, all patrons, staff and company members are required to be fully vaccinated and masked for indoor events at AOH; just the performer(s) will be unmasked when appearing onstage. When you arrive for an indoor show, we’ll ask for proof of vaccination status which you can provide by showing your CDC vaccination card or a photo image of it, NY State’s Excelsior Pass or any other status app. A photo ID will also be needed in case the staff person at the door doesn’t know you.For outdoor events, proof of vaccination will not be required. Masks are recommended but optional if fully vaccinated; for those not vaccinated, masks are required for your and everyone’s protection. At all performances, seating will be general admission at half-capacity to facilitate social distancing. As a result, parties may not always be able to be seated together. In lieu of a printed program, a digital playbill will be provided via a QR link posted in the theater and included as part of a pre-show email that you will receive. All public spaces, including restrooms, are sanitized prior to each performance. Prior to the start of a show, all doors to the performance hall will remain open to allow fresh air into the space. Most importantly, if you feel unwell prior to a performance, please do not attend. We will exchange your tickets for another date during the run, a different upcoming show or refund your purchase. Thanks for your understanding!

COVID safety protocols updated as of December 2023.

KN95 masks are provided at the entrance for every performance. While wearing masks is highly recommended for everyone's safety, it's generally not mandatory. However, specific performance dates may require mask-wearing, and this information will be available on our website via the show’s ticketing page.

Ancram Center requires COVID testing for all individuals involved in our productions. This includes our staff, the production team, and the cast members. Regular testing helps us maintain a healthy workplace and provides added assurance to everyone involved in and attending our performances.

Restrooms are thoroughly sanitized before each performance. Additionally, all doors to the performance hall will be kept open before the show starts to ensure fresh air circulation.

Most importantly, if you're feeling unwell before a performance, please refrain from attending. You can exchange your tickets for another date within the run, a different upcoming show, or get a refund for your purchase.

Thanks for your understanding!

Why Do We Have Mask-Required Performances?

Understanding the diverse needs of our audience, especially our immunocompromised community members, select performances in our seasonal programming will require masks. This deliberate decision emanates from our commitment to a more inclusive experience for all. By mandating masks for select performances, we create a safe space, enabling immunocompromised individuals to immerse themselves fully in the theatrical experience.
